Summary
After 37 years, Daniel was back in his arms. Where he should be. Where he still fit perfectly. Warm, alive, content in his dreaming.
Armand was content, too, inasmuch as that was a state of being he was still capable of inhabiting. He felt less empty than he had in years and that, perhaps, was more than he’d had any right to hope for.
In which Armand holds Daniel while he sleeps, and thinks about both his loves.
(Sets immediately after The Monster of my Memories but can be read separately.)

The night Lestat wrote THAT letter to Louis in case something bad separated them; he gets emotional and Louis is suspicious.
_Louis didn't say anything for a while, until Lestat realized the younger one was crying too. His sadness was contagious, he felt like he put it in a little jar and kept it inside his fledgling's heart.
