It takes a while for him to settle into the kind of friendship that he and Langa build. It feels weird to know that he needs to be out of his house at a certain time in the morning because he has a friend waiting for him so that they can skate to school together. Weirder still with the way Langa looks at him when he gets to the pole and the way his hands linger when they do their handshake.

And Langa’s breathing is heavy with exhaustion and Reki is laughing. He thinks the entirety of them can be summed into this— fun.
