    Summary

If Julie knew any better, she had been set up.

After years of working together, Megan knew better than to lie to Julie. To cancel on Julie. To cancel on her AND, subsequently, plan for none other than Didi to also be at the same restaurant. She definitely knew better. But when opportunity presents itself for a chance to finally get through to her boss’s head and prove that a shot at romance is possible, she cannot help herself.

Now, when faced with the woman who undeniably likes her back, Julie is forced to face the music, be a little less stubborn, and learn how to open her heart to love.

    Or in other words:
Megan secretly plans to get her boss and Didi together through a silly scheme, and it leads to Julie having to actually, y’know, talk to Didi and then they try figure their shit out to be happy together.

“Since I’ve started working I’ve used every holiday to get a leg up, stay on top of things. I don’t take vacations.”

“Fair enough Froggy,” she said with a gentle voice. Of all the things Julie appreciated about Didi, her ability to read the room was one of her favourites. So Julie was grateful when Didi shifted the atmosphere of the room with a simple rolling of her shoulders and a grin. “So what are we doing for that week this year?”

She took it all back. “Excuse me?”

    Summary

Years before Pacific View, Julie and Didi meet in college and become unlikely friends. Somewhere between ethics lectures, bad timing and increasingly blurred boundaries, friendship turns into something much harder to define.
Julie has always been very good at leaving. Unfortunately, Didi is the first person she’s ever wanted to stay for.
Or: the story of everything they lost before they met again.
