Summary
"So our relationship soured, I didn’t look at you with the same fondness and things were no longer as bright anymore. At some point, that felt like what love was supposed to be like: a lukewarm glass of tea. You’re never really reaching for it, but it’s always there.
And that’s why we broke up."

Summary
God-fucking dammit, Jin thinks as the Taetae in his conscience yells at him for swearing.
See, the thing is, Kim Namjoon is really fucking hot. He looks like a tree, first of all, because his thighs are so thick and spectacular they resemble trunks. And then the dimples. Oh my god, the dimples, Jin wails in his head. There are sirens going off, giggles of small children the corner, Namjoon’s hands still stretched out towards him. Once upon a time, Jin would have been smooth. Laid a line on Namjoon, which may or may not have contained a pun.
Now, he’s frozen. Because he’s not that good at dealing with strangers anymore, not to mention insanely beautiful ones.

Jin and Namjoon are single parents in Seoul. Jin feels burned out by his past back in New York, memories still lingering in the back of his mind. Namjoon feels burned out by his future, the deadline for his cookbook that is expected to win a James Beard award looming darkly over his head. Their paths cross in Jin's little bookshop, tucked in a small street in Jongno-gu.
