Summary
John had been elusive for weeks, obviously trying to hide the fact that something was going on with him. When everything finally comes to a head, Bruce unthinkingly decides that he's going to have John stay with him in the manor, unwilling, or maybe unable, to let him out of his sight.
While John seems excited enough, despite the situation, there's an undercurrent of tension to the abrupt shifting of their relationship.
It doesn't help that he's started paying much more, and much different attention to John than he means to.

Summary
Everything was supposed to have settled after what had happened with the pact. Life without Batman was hard despite that. And it doesn't help that he gets the apparently old news that there's some sort of foreign chemical in John's blood, that's started to cause problems.
John isn't worried, but, despite that lack of care, Bruce is.
He's completely unable to stand the thought of something happening to one of the only people he's ever let in.

Purchasing the abandoned Arkham Asylum and giving it a refurbishment was a project that Bruce had somehow expected to go smoothly. But the first day he enters the front building to see it for himself, he ends up coming across the strangest man he thinks he's ever met.
Now it seems like he's stuck with him, but Bruce isn't sure whether he feels like it's a curse, or if he finally has some company he never realized he truly needed.

John is getting released, for the first time. Finally, after all his life, he gets to step out of the doors of Arkham Asylum, into the real world, the place he was supposed to be.
But things aren't easy. And despite efforts to seek out Harley, seek out Bruce, and maybe even seek himself, he isn't sure just how far he'll be able to go.
