“Oh, yeah? If it’s not scary, then why are you afraid?”
“I’m not.”
San had always adored Halloween. He loved seeing the little kids running around for candy, the people dressing up, all of the festivals and haunts that occurred once a year, and the comradery that came with the holiday. But, most of all, San absolutely adored being scared.
“You are. You’re afraid of me.”
“I am not afraid of you.”
“Then why can I smell how scared you are? The smell, the fear, is dripping off of you.”
Naturally, San gathered three of his closest friends and forced them to go with him to a haunt that Halloween. They were all dressed up, giddy, and ready to be slightly scared for their own amusement. What could possibly go wrong?

A pause. A slow, syrupy smile, crooked at the corner, all dangerous confidence and soft menace.
“Did you get wet just from the sound of my voice, sweetheart?”Yeah Mingi was ready to die now.

Viktor let out a slow breath. “Good.”
Jinx smirked. “But you’ll be stuck with me, y’know.”
Viktor huffed a laugh. “I had assumed as much.”
And just like that, the tension broke.
Jinx grinned, stepping forward, leaning into him with a mischievous glint in her eye.
“So… are we gonna kiss now, or what?”
Viktor flushed. “Must you ruin every moment?”
“Absolutely.”
He sighed. “Fine.”
And then, finally, he kissed her.
