Summary
Arin watched in horror as the man that he once called his teacher grew an extra pair of arms as he screamed in agony. Tears streamed down the green ninja’s paler than already paler-than-normal cheeks. When Arin spent time with his ex-master before finding a new master, he always wondered why his master seemed to have way more paler skin than normal people did. He never asked, worrying that it would sound rude. Now, as he watched purple energy of destruction slowly but surely come out of the pained blond in the draining cell, he wished that he never knew why.

The red eyed boy laughed that seemed to cool the atmosphere even more than it already was since he smiled that devil’s smile. “Think of it as a deal. A devil’s deal as some call it.”
Or Lloyd is kidnapped by Lord Ras for his dragon, oni, and elemental energy. Arin is traumatized. Lloyd's split personality is revealed. Ras makes a devil's deal with a devil.

Summary
Lloyd has been having this reoccurring dream ever since he became the Conduit. He wakes up in this field of gray, a vast expanse of nothing that goes on forever, the void cracks under his feet, and then, in some way or another, he dies.
In the waking world, he can feel the seams of himself falling apart, and soon, the world starts to fall apart with him.He'll have to relearn how to lean on his team if he wants to figure out what's going on, otherwise he genuinely fears he might lose himself to the chaos he's been finding in his own mind. Is it the power of the Source Dragons tearing him apart from the inside? Or is it something deeper, something he has to face within himself?

“Shut UP,” Lloyd snapped, the words ripping out harsher than he meant. “You don’t know anything.”
“On the contrary,” Ras hissed, “I know exactly what you are. The child of two immortal races… who cannot survive being both.”
Arin’s face went pale.
“Lloyd…” His voice cracked. “That… that isn’t true, right?”
Lloyd didn’t answer.
Because Lloyd wasn’t there.
The wind stopped. The sky dimmed, like even the clouds knew to be afraid. Lloyd’s head snapped up, and his eyes—
His eyes weren’t green anymore.
A vibrant, luminous purple swallowed his irises whole.
