Summary
“Piratekit. What ar' ya still doing' `ere!?” Captain Rocket’s voice sliced through the tranquil moment, jolting them back to reality. The captain stood at the edge of the ship, hands on his hips and a playful glint in his eye. “C’mon! Both of ya! Aboard the cruise, lads!!” He pointed enthusiastically toward the grand vessel, which shimmered under the sunlight like a beacon calling them forth.
Piratekit, still lingering in Exorspace’s gaze, hesitated for a moment. “Didn’t you say—” he began, but Rocket cut him off, his sheepish smile spreading wider.
“Well…yeh, I know, but…” The captain's eyes danced with mischief, as if he were bursting with a secret he couldn’t quite contain. “I ship y’all… so it’s an exception, `got' an extra spot.”

Summary
Exorspace’s fingers clung even tighter, his voice muffled against Piratekit’s shoulder. “I don’t… I don’t want to be left behind,” he choked out, each word like a piece of himself breaking apart, spilling into the space between them. “I don’t want to be alone, Meddy… not again.”
Piratekit’s heart ached at the sound of his lover’s voice, so fragile, so unlike the fierce, wild man he’d come to love. He held him closer, whispering soft reassurances, letting Exorspace feel the warmth of his embrace, the steady beat of his heart.
“Shh… it’s okay,” he murmured, running his fingers gently through Exorspace’s hair. “I know… I know, love.”
“You’ll never be alone, Exor,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “Even if I’m not here… I’ll always be with ye, right here.” He lifted a hand to rest over Exorspace’s heart, feeling the steady thrum beneath his palm. “And you’ll be with me, no matter where I go.”
