Summary
Glory’s unwoken by the alarm, curled up on his chest, her tight curls tickling him lightly.
He watches her for a moment.
Yes, it’s not always comfortable to have a four year old sleeping in your bed, but sometimes she’s the only thing that helps him wind down and feel comfortable as well.
It’s probably kind of a codependent bond to have, but whatever. He’ll feel guilty about that when he gets through the million other things he has to think about.

Summary

Summary
So really, after all the training, after all the years of call after call and day after day pulling people out of their worst nightmare, he should’ve known.
He should’ve known that dead weight doesn’t feel the way living bodies do. That every ounce of it doubles when it’s someone you love.
All he can think about is getting Buck back into his arms, keeping him there, holding tight enough as if he can force the life back into him by sheer proximity. The thought of letting the line slip through his fingers feels worse than dying, but he calls for more slack anyway, watching as the distance grows between them.
Those were priceless seconds he just wasted, he thinks.
He should’ve known better.
He should’ve.
Fuck.
Or,
Do you ever wonder what was going on in Eddie's head after Buck was struck by lightning?Or,
Eddie admits he loves Buck after Buck is struck by lightning.Bookmarked by comet_2k19
