Everyone assumes that Hayi is just a naive little girl who got caught up in the wrong crowd. They think that she is all book smart and has no street smarts. Hayi knew all that was going on around her and just played dumb to seem less suspicious. Hayi knew her boyfriend Hanbin was in a gang before he came out and told her. She knew that some people at her university were also in a rival gang of Hanbin's but she pretended not to. Hayi knows a whole lot compared to others. But knowing a lot sometimes doesn’t help you stay out of trouble.
