Summary
Dying for him was easy; they sure as hell won’t be dissuaded from living for him.
In his first year, Harry spends his visits to the mirror of Erised telling his parents about his time at Hogwarts and his home life, sparing no details. Unbeknownst to him, the philosopher’s stone being stored in the mirror has the unintended effect of bringing James’ and Lily’s souls forth each time. Unable to respond or act, they listen to every word their son says, silently seething with rage at how he’s being treated. When the mirror is moved after Quirrel dies, they force their way back to the land of the living; if their son isn’t being looked after, they’ll do it themselves.
A slow-moving, fix-it fic ideally spanning all of Harry’s years at school. There will be angst, but this is a comfort fic at its core. Nobody good will die (I’m looking at you, Sirius and Cedric and Remus and Fred and… everyone else), and there will be a happy ending, but they’ll have to earn it. Updates will be sporadic; I post as I write.

Summary
Harry felt something touch both sides of his head, gripping it tight enough to be uncomfortable, but not so tight as to hurt — or perhaps he was so used to pain that it didn't register. This time, he did try to scream, but the sound came out muffled, eaten by the darkness as soon as it emerged. The thing around his head grew warmer. When it was hot enough that he thought it would leave his skin red and raw, the first images started flashing in his mind.
They appeared faster and faster, one image after another, flickering in front of his eyes. When the last of the images faded from sight, the darkness was back to being just that — dark. The feeling of not being alone was gone, as was the heat around his head. All Harry was left with were the memories of a life he hadn't yet lived, and the sneaking suspicion that things would never be the same.

A somewhat slow-moving, cozy fix-it fic spanning all 7 years. Officially complete!
