"Not for me." The Sinner responds, not with resentment or envy. He states a fact.
"Not for you." Flins doesn't object.He longs, frankly, for what is beyond the glaciers. For what's in the mournful snow. What's across the ocean, where it's peaceful. It was peaceful. It won't be like that anymore, and that's the disheartening difference, because Rerir's will is enough to get through the suffocating dome of the false sky for what he wants. Flins, however will never be able to turn back time. The past was there, beyond the glaciers. Today he stands firm by the cemetery's lighthouse, then roaming the borderlands. Humbly on duty. But still, he sometimes looks around, placing his hand on the jewel gracing his chest in a particularly reverent way, contemplating the said glaciers on the horizon.

To put it simply — Spinel thrived in his triumph. Things couldn't go better for him. He'd achieved everything he could and now strives for even more distant heights. He knows he's capable of it. He deserved it. He worked his ass off for it, he waited patiently and paved his own way up. Yet in order to fly up high, one needs to let go of some excess weight… Which seemed to be a little too complicated of a task to his taste. Despite his brilliant act in front of people and even in front of his own full-length mirror, there was still something he couldn't quite get over with.
