She replies back that she didn't mean it that way. Still jest with her manner of speech, Sasuke finds her lightheartedness, amusing. Trust Sakura to find humour in his illness.

Summary
Sakura set her books down on the small table at the back corner of the library. When she heard a throat clear, Sakura looked up, and her eyes widened as she saw Kakashi Hatake.
Sakura never paid attention to Hatake because they never really had a reason to interact. Part of it was school rivalry: he was a Slytherin and she was a Gryffindor, and she was friends with the families and heirs of families who made up the more accepting of muggleborns faction, while Hatake hung out with the Uchiha.
“Hatake,” she greeted.
“Haruno,” he said, holding out a hand towards her, “let’s study together this year.”
“But…” she stammered, “why?”
“You’re smart,” Hatake began, “and I’d be a fool not to have taken notice of it. You may not be the next Hermione Granger, but you’re going to be an amazing witch in the future. I figure it wouldn’t hurt to work with you, and pass Potions with an O.”
