Looking down to see if any other part of his body was hurt, Xiao saw golden lines on the skin, in a painting that faded in some parts thanks to the sudden contact with the sand, the design adorned his arms, waist and hips and instead of continuing down his legs, the painting stopped when the tail began.

Summary
While Aether had met many good-looking individuals and was a fan of many handsome celebrities, nobody, in his opinion, held a candle to Xiao’s looks. With his gorgeously constructed face, well-toned muscles, and the luminescent green tattoo plastered on his arm, it was as if Xiao had been sculpted of marble and brought to life by the goddess of love herself just for Aether to lust over.

Everyone looks at him, their expressions mirroring his.
“What do you mean,” Yanfei asks slowly, putting her cards face down on the table, “when you say ‘you and Aether aren’t dating’?”
Xiao watches her fold her hands together in front of her as if she’s getting ready to hear his defense in a mock trial and take serious mental notes. “Exactly that,” he says.
There’s a short silence, and then Ajax says, “Wooooow.”
“I’m sorry, I thought — I’m sorry,” comes Ganyu’s sheepish apology. “I just assumed.”
“It’s fine.” And really it is, because it’s not the worst assumption to be made about him, and he’s had to dispel this kind of rumour before.
