Summary
Alex is too busy working to worry about his headaches or the milestones he's missing out on in his kids lives. Antonio, the oldest, is starting his first day of high school - with mean friends and an already shaky self-esteem. Jada, the second child, is all alone after her best friend moved away, and the new driver Austin's insistent kindness feels much better than loneliness, even when he starts doing things that make her want to rip her skin off. Theo, the third child, is finally not being bullied, and he's not at all used to it. It's Ileana, the youngest's first day of third grade, and she's noticing everything.
