Summary
Illi McMillin and her brother, Mikey, move in with their adoptive parents in San Fransisco, and enroll into Pencey Prep high for junior year. As they start to socialize, Illi become a target of bullying due to her gender identity. The friends that Illi and Mikey have made (Frank, Ray and... Bob) try to help, causing them to get targeted along with her. As they grow closer, Illi's feelings for Frank grow stronger and conflicts rise. Frank understood Illi in a different way, causing their relationship to thrive.

He may not be very professional, but what he lacks in experience and personal hygiene, he makes up for in enthusiasm and creativity.
