(And of course, this new first-year pair and his best friends Saiki and Aren are an important addition to his new group to fight against Dark Reunion with!
Nendou not included, he's strong but his intelligence undermines The Jet Black Wing's hero squad.)

Dazai held his head in his hand as he got up, a vicious ringing in his ears.
He stood up on uneasy legs, and looked around. The neighborhood was in disarray. A nearby power line was tilted and sparking, the officer lay unbreathing near his turned over car, and his adopted father lie bleeding and lifeless on the grass.
He didn't bother checking to see if John was alive. He staggered over to Mori, falling onto his knees to check the bloody wound. The man wasn't breathing though, and his eyes were already dead and unseeing.
[...]
He spotted Kyuusaku unconcious on the ground. He shook them, and fortunately they were still breathing. Unfortunately, they weren't waking up.
He bit his cheek, taking the child into his arms with a heave. Luckily, Ryuunosuke and Gin were both getting up, so he didn't have to carry them too.
"Come on, we have to go!"
