Summary
Hunter took a deep breath and pressed his hands against the glass ball, watching as the smoke curled once more. As he pulled away, he watched with bated breath as strings shimmered to life around his hands, glittering silver strands winding around each of his fingers.
Along with a single gold string, looped delicately around his pinky.

“Whoa…” Hunter’s eyes glittered as he glanced around the clearing, lips parted in silent awe. A flutter, one she’d become all too familiar with whenever she was with Hunter, kicked off in Willow’s heart. “Did you set this all up just for us?”
“Of course! Gotta make sure your first time seeing the Wailing Star is memorable, right?” Willow said, squeezing his hand and pulling him further into the clearing.

Summary
In the grand scheme of things, though, her injury’s not important—not when Grime’s just lost an arm, not when the fate of their world half depends on her stopping Darcy, not when Marcy is lying unconscious in her arms with a pulse that’s too faint for comfort.
And definitely not when the Core takes control of the moon and sends it hurtling toward them, intent on destroying Amphibia.

Summary
She had failed, had been too weak to protect the people she loved.
Willow couldn’t remember the last time she felt so small.
Scrubbing at the white hot tears that had started to prick at her eyes, Willow tried to ignore the dark spots that had formed in her vision. She had held onto her feelings as long as she could; her friends needed someone to lean on, and she had clung to the opportunity, desperate to do something for them.
But she could only do so much when she was drowning herself.

Summary
“Well, what do you think? Do I look like a gardener?” Hunter tugged at the hem of the gloves, flexing his hands in an attempt to break in the rubbery fabric.
“Hmm,” Willow pursed her lips, scanning the area of the backyard that she claimed as her own, her eyes catching on a small wooden lamppost that she’d been using as a marker for where her garden began. Hooked onto the post, swaying with the gentle breeze, was a wide-brimmed straw sunhat. Camila had mentioned it was a relic from her own unsuccessful attempts at maintaining a garden.
Perfect.
“There we go.” She placed the sunhat atop Hunter’s head, ignoring his indignant “hey!” as she did. Willow stepped back to appreciate her work — he looked cute, all decked out in his gardening gear. “Now you look the part!” she said with a wink.

or: Willow and Hunter spend some time gardening in the human realm.
