Then his eyes caught at her torso. She was wearing a sweater much like his own. Except hers didn’t have the Grinch like his, but had the Grinch’s sidekick — Max.
He laughed, sharply.
The woman, who had been trying to flag the bartender, looked at him. She looked at his sweater and also let out a sharp laugh.
Then she seemed to do the same body perusal as he had and he smiled, smugly as she seemed to linger on his physique.
“Seems we were meant to meet tonight,” Anthony said and at that her laugh turned derisive.
“That’s the line you’re starting with?” The woman tutted. “Shame. Had higher hopes than that.”
