When Riku's gaze landed on the person sitting at the table, time seemed to slow. It was someone he hadn’t seen in years: Sion. His ex-boyfriend.
“What is he doing here?” Riku demanded, his voice colder than he intended. His eyes darted to Sakuya, who was standing off to the side with an awkward grin plastered on his face.
Sakuya scratched the back of his neck, his smile faltering under Riku’s glare. “Oh, did I forget to mention? It’s a Truth or Drink video,” he said, his tone light but tinged with nervousness.

Summary
Sion loves working at his family's dairy farm. But that love is overshadowed by his parents' expectations that he will take over the family pack. He is constantly reminded he is not alpha enough, even his too sweet scent reminds him every day that he will never be enough.
One day, a new omega, Riku, moves to their small town to open a bakery, and orders milk to be delivered from Sion's farm. Riku is bright and beautiful; his scent is richer, which is not typical of an omega.
Neither of them fit into the molds society has created for Alphas and Omegas, so maybe they can create their own path.

“Ah, they’re boarding,” Sion tells him when it’s announced over the intercom. “I’ll be there in two hours, yeah? Don’t fall asleep until I get there.”
“I’m wide awake,” Riku says. And then he yawns. “If your plane crashes, I’ll-”
“Kill me, I know, you’ve told me,” Sion laughs. They call for his boarding number and he stands up. “Stay awake! I love you, okay?”
Riku’s cheeks are pink as they always are whenever Sion says it. Though he’s still smiling; a coy little thing. “I’ll be there,” he says. “I love you, too.”
Sion presses his lips to his phone camera. Making a loud, obnoxious MWAH! sound that startles the people standing around him.
Soon, he thinks as he gets on the plane. Soon, soon, soon-

Sion and Riku have been online best friends for six years, dating for two. All it takes is years of yearning and a bad birthday party to get them to meet. And so they do. And so it is everything they've ever wanted.
It's weird, truthfully, how someone you've never met can still feel like coming home.
