    Thank you for reading my very first fic!

    My absolute favorite "sub-story" of the incredible TLOU universe has always been of Ish and the community he helps other survivors build. I wanted to explore the circumstances that might have eventually led him to his escape out to sea and return to land during the initial outbreak of the CBI. In keeping with the feel of the notes he leaves around in the game, I decided to write this in the first person from his perspective - I also really wanted to put myself inside his head and explore how I might personally handle his situations.
