Summary

By helping Jungkook hide away a little piece of himself from the world, in wiping the stubborn rainbow makeup from his cheeks, he ends up helping that very same piece reach full bloom.

wow… there are just some things that i don’t think could ever be expressed into words. how i feel about this fic is one of them. i hate angst, so my first thought is i could read this over and over again and never feel any harm. the second thing i thought is self discovery is terrifying. i may not have had to deal with the same sorts of situations as our dear jungkook, but i felt them. my heart ached with them every time he tried to describe his feelings.. maybe that was the angst, after all. the way your words were able to make me /feel/ every emotion he felt, feel how beautifully jimin fell for him. i loved the book idea, how special that was for them. i never got to experience myself like that. with another person so easily. i suppose i still could, with my partner now, but i’ve known who i am for a long time. this is beautiful because it makes me feel seen, despite the difference in characters, i felt seen in them both. i think this was beautiful and thank you for sharing it with us. i’m actually tearing up as i finish writing this because i just, loved it that much. every time jimin received a :D and smiled, i smiled too. i think that was my favorite part. again, thank you for this. for writing such an amazing piece, something for people like me to hold onto in dark times. incredible.
