“I… cannot say that they do,” Chara said honestly, somewhat taken aback by the question.
“Well they should!” they replied, sitting back up with an unnatural amount of conviction and getting just slightly too close into Chara’s personal space bubble. “What’s your name, by the way?”
Chara was feeling… intimidated, they think, by this person. Intimidated that their own intimidation tactics seemed to be either completely ineffective or, conversely, very effective in the complete opposite than intended direction.

It took much convincing, but Frisk actually got Chara to agree to attend the Halloween party, a pseudo-rave hosted by the goths, down at the abandoned mall. Although it was a full moon night, it was also Halloween. They appealed to Chara's love of the holiday, and the desire to dress up for it. The party would start at nine and go 'til one (when the witching hour was over).
Chara's condition was they would go when it was overcast, since the weather forecast called for it. It took a while for that to happen - long enough for Asriel to have left for his friend's place down in the city - but the weather finally became cloudy enough to risk letting a werewolf go outside.
Frisk was watching YouTube on the TV when a studded cane spun out from behind the lamp on the corner table. Chara appeared the next instant, twirling it like a heavy baton. Placing both hands on the stud, they stomped the floor with it. They'd donned a rounded top hat. A long, dark cloak parted to show a button-up shirt and dark slacks. After a moment, they started for the door, hiking up a supplies bag on their shoulder. Frisk shot up and grabbed their costume's red riding hood, scrambling to shut the TV off. This was gonna be fun.
