Summary
Eddie feels so full of love for the man in front of him. He can hardly contain the smile that overtakes his face, “Buck…” His eyes dart around the room once more as he takes it all in. There aren’t enough words to explain how grateful and loved he feels in this moment.
And then his eyes land on the ducks.
Two rubber ducks, side by side, both wearing firefighter helmets and tiny turnouts. They are ridiculous. They are perfect.
“What are those?”
Buck flushes when his eyes follow what Eddie is referring to. He moves to pick them up from where they are on the edge of the tub, “Meet Rubber Buck and Rubber Eddie, our duck döppelgangers,” he announces proudly.
