Sand hesitated; eyebrows drawn as if he did not want to say the words. He chewed on his lips for a few moments and glared deep at him for a long, long time before he said, “I like the way you laugh. Your laughter is effervescent and contagious, and it reminds me of wind chimes when the wind is strong. I like the way you search my face for safety when you’re stressed or unsure. And how you’re stubborn when you’re sure. I like how you make me nervous yet so calm.”
