Summary
His expression never changed, but suddenly Artie could smell, as clearly as if it were the sound of horses’ hooves riding toward him then riding away, a wafting floral scent that smelled heavy and sweet on the cool night air. It grew closer, and Artie drew in a big breath, almost as though he were going to sneeze, as a cover for taking in all of the scent that he could. It was tuberose, fat and heady, a nearly pure Mexican oil if Artie was any judge. It was a sort of thick luxurious scent of hot-climate flowers, with the faintest tinge of menthol lurking in the background.
There was a woman passing by him in the night.
Using all his best moves pretending to be a lolling drunk, Artie made a very thorough examination of the environment around him. He could see nothing, and hear nothing. But the scent of the tuberose told its own tale.
If she was moving in the direction of the gambling hall, Artie figured, she was probably out to get involved in some trouble.

How does someone kidnap someone else without them knowing they've been kidnapped?
Most especially when the kidnappee is Tony Stark?
And then how does Bruce keep from falling in love with Tony Stark... all over again?
ETA: This is a sequel to my "Heartbeat", and by extension "Old-Fashioned". All my Marvel stuff is essentially the same universe, so.
Canon AU, teamfic, romance, smut, and yet another novel way to pose a threat to the Hulk. Not easy to come up with that! Also robots break your heart.

John thought of his life as mostly over and Matt's as just beginning. Not that it mattered. Except when it did.
"Strip, give me your clothes, shower," said John, handing him the pile.
"Not that I wouldn't go gay for you, man, but I thought there would be more foreplay," said Matt, dropping the clean new clothes on the back of John's couch to his left and shrugging out of John's jacket.
"You thought wrong. Stealth gay. All of a sudden, wham."
"Yeah, that sounds about right," Matt muttered. He shook out the clean T-shirt, groaned. "Seriously?"

Summary
No one believes Tony can do relationships, even Tony. Except Bruce.
Maybe that's why it's Bruce that Tony falls in love with.
Except even with Bruce, trying so hard to get it right, Tony makes one massive mistake that could prove that he was right to begin with. He can't do relationships.
Deciding that one way or the other is up to Bruce.

It starts with simple fascination on Tony's part - fascination with Steve's private life, which turns out to be rather different that Tony expected. Steve makes it serious, because he's a serious guy.
NOTE: Hardcore T/S shippers for whom this is an OTP and only Happily Ever Afters are acceptable might not enjoy this one. Just sayin'.
