In his head, he can almost see it: Dream kicking the bedroom door behind him shut and smiling in that dumb way he does with too much teeth. But that was a year ago, before horror movies suddenly became reality in the lumbering forms of the living dead.
So when Dream says, “I can’t believe we’re alone, just the two of us,” it doesn’t sound so romantic anymore.
