Summary
Dohoon sees it in his rigid posture, the way Junghwan's shoulders are always taut and pulled back, like there's not a moment in his day to rest. The way he always has a hand resting on his temple like it'll force the mind-bending headache away, and the tight-lipped smile he gives them at the dining table, when they're eating, and all he's doing is picking at his food and pondering.
He hates it. When Junghwan gets like this. Shuts himself off to the world like he doesn't matter, like it's for the good of everyone else.
It's why when Dohoon finds out they're roommates in Taiwan, he sees his opportunity, and takes it.
Or: Dohoon, Junghwan's favourite form of stress relief.

Summary
He's long past that Hanjin who'd burst into tears at the most inopportune moments, getting snot all over his face and having to have the others clean him up. Jihoon handing him tissues, Youngjae wiping his face so gently, Kyungmin clinging to his arm in comfort. He's learnt to hold his tongue, to keep those big feelings locked away in a box that he only opens when he's completely, truly alone. He's learned not to make a fuss.
This kind of vulnerability would bring it all crashing down. This — him unable to move on the bathroom floor, instincts overtaking any kind of rational thought, would have his capable, quiet demeanour crumbling.
When the members leave for the holidays, Hanjin finds himself going through an unexpected, late presentation. He intends to go through it alone — that's how he's always handled things, so why would he stop now?
But when Junghwan shows up, insistent on taking care of him, Hanjin finds he doesn’t have the heart to tell him no.

Summary
"Do you like it?" Dohoon asks, eyes drifting from the camera to Hanjin's sleeping form in his line of view, as the younger tosses and turns restlessly. Dohoon can't even fault him — he feels just as restless as the words tumble out of his mouth, each syllable laced with sickly honey and leaving his stomach sore with a deep, sickening desire.
The statement is broad enough that he can easily pass it off as fan service. But the way his phone vibrates a few seconds after confirms to him what he already knows is true — Junghwan is watching.
Or: Dohoon is a little too compliant on live. Junghwan likes it — far, far more than he should.

Summary
And that’s why the guilt settles, heavy and low in Dohoon’s stomach. Because it’s his distance, his silence, that makes Junghwan doubt himself. As a leader and as a friend.
Dohoon hates that more than anything. He can handle unrequited feelings. He can handle wanting too much, hoping too much, loving too much. He can hold all of that quietly inside his chest. He's gotten good at folding his feelings into neat little corners, keeping them out of sight, making sure none of it spills into the spaces where it shouldn’t.
But what he can’t handle is the way Junghwan's expression fills with worry when Dohoon pulls away from him. The way he pauses before speaking, as if searching for the thing he might have done wrong.
It makes him feel nauseous. Junghwan shouldn’t ever have to carry the weight that is Dohoon’s selfishness, and yet, Dohoon keeps placing it there. He keeps withdrawing, and Junghwan feels it every single time. He can see it in the way Junghwan's shoulders tighten, the way his voice gets careful, like he’s afraid of pushing too hard. It breaks Dohoon more than his own longing ever could.
