“And you’re not?” The air vibrates between them, charged with the unspoken. “We’ve been at it for years, Jeongguk-ah. Why stop now?”
It’s as much an acknowledgment as any. Taehyung has never spoken it out loud before, and it catches Jeongguk off guard. It’s just a moment, a brief glimmer in his eyes, but Taehyung can’t let it slip. He has to capitalize on it.
“Though I will admit I enjoy seeing you jealous.” Taehyung can’t resist the smirk. “You’re awfully possessive of someone who isn’t yours.”

On his nineteenth Name Day, Jungkook becomes an apprentice under the traveller trade to be closer to the seas he loves. A year later, he learns of the Siren at the Sea that terrorises the sea routes of all travellers. Mystified by the myth and grappling with his thirst for adventure, he sets to find the mythical monster and do what no one else has ever done: find it, survive its wrath and come back home– alive.
