Summary
You thought it started in Rhalgr's Reach, but it actually began before that. Moons ago, when a pilus had given you the report of the events that happened in the Praetorium and of Gaius van Baelsar. Your interest in Eorzea was at the time, effectively non-existant. But even you couldn't stop for a moment, reading about this champion of the land. They called her the Warrior of Light. Eikon Slayer.
Your finger found itself rested on top of her name, if only for a moment.

Summary
His hand was already digging into his sturdy coat. “What is a gift between friends, Doctor?” he questioned, pulling out a fine crystal bottle with a warm, golden liquid inside.

Her hand laid outstretched for the bottle.

“Thanks. Oh, right, Doctor, wanna hang out with me for a while? The view is pretty nice. We don’t… usually get to see things like this back at Kjerag.”
Her eyes turned to the vast gray skies, to below to see the land stretching before them. Faraway dark mountains to the east that attempted to scrap the skies, greenery near the horizon that slowly drifted into dead, yellowing earth. Not the palette she would have painted with. It was a touch too dreary, but Avery could find the beauty in it. Kjerag was a land of white, so something like this could be breathtaking in its own way.

Summary
She had not gone to any of the ceremonies after his passing. Those were human rites, and as a dragon, there was simply not a place for her. Even if there was, she saw little point in going. She needed no comfort, no pity. This was a song and dance she had been through before, and she needed no partner.
Even if this tune sounded different, even if these steps felt unfamiliar to her practiced feet.
