Zhang Hao hummed in response before moving his hands to rest against Hanbin’s shoulders, smoothing them out to relax him and press him further into his chair. He smiled down at him with so much love and care, it made his pulse quicken and his heart quiver dangerously; Hanbin almost forgot his boyfriend was about to fuck another man.
“Keep your eyes on me, baobei, don’t look away.”
Hanbin swallowed hard over the lump in his throat, his fingers straining as he fisted the fabric of his pants harshly, “Yes, gege.”

"Or what, Zhang Hao? Will you lie to me again since that's all you do? Fuck." The anger, the intensity, the doubt; everything was directed at him. "You're just like him."
Zhang Hao felt his blood run cold as he clenched his fists and willed himself to stop shaking, he isn't, he'd never be his father. "I might be incompetent and I might be a liar but I would never turn my back on my people, that includes you and everyone else in this town whether you want me or not."
Quickly, as if it was never there to begin with, the tension dissipated from the room and eight pairs of eyes turned to Zhang Hao. Hanbin felt all of the fight draining out of him as he stared into glossy brown eyes, "Hao..."
"My father caused this problem and it's only fair that I fix it; I hardly think we can call this the era of peace and prosperity otherwise."
