Maybe it would always go like this: rolling days of suburban bullshit, the sun winking below cotton-candy tufts of warm pink clouds, and everything they do, they do for each other. Maybe that’s awful unhealthy—spelled out their unhappily ever after before they could even fathom thinking of an end, but maybe that won’t ever matter.

Until one night, when it starts to rain, when Marcy crawls through Sasha’s paint-chipped windowsill, practically glowing like a second moon, and starts to tell Sasha all about how Anne just fucking kissed her.
OR, in which Anne and Marcy start dating, and Sasha is left with her own feelings. Including: a road trip, a school dance, and a mental breakdown.
