Summary
The frontal lobe is responsible for all rational thought. Just like the rest of the brain, it doesn’t stop developing until well into a person’s twenties. Your own maturation was impeded by a plane crash and a dire nineteen months in the wilderness.
Your brain has broken down and rebuilt a reward system for you: one which conflates survival with savagery, which perverts your source of purpose, and which craves Tai.
Why are you burdening yourself with doubts about wanting this? This was always good.
You give in.
...
Or, Tai and Van can never escape each other's orbit. Not really.
