Summary
Kuroo is not happy about his parents' newest scheme: marrying him off to the son of a family that sounds like every in-law's dream. Wealthy, influential, stellar reputation. Kuroo doesn't give a fuck. First off, he doesn't want to. Second, he doesn't even know the guy or what he looks like. Finally, he doesn't want to. But if he doesn't, he'll be cut off and kicked out. And what are they thinking anyway, telling him all this the night before the official engagement? But it isn't a joke. Either he complies or he'll be cut off.
Angry at the world, his parents, and himself, Kuroo leaves the hotel, knowing deep down that he cannot run away. He's in a strange country, in an unknown city, where many don't even speak his language.
The attention of a beautiful stranger in a bar seems to be the only light left for him in this unjust world.

Summary
I have worked with mentally disabled people for a year and up to now I did not feel able to write a piece that expresses the unbearable sadness but also the unaltered joy that comes with being mentally disabled. I decided to write this from Tatsuya´s point of view: a young man that - despite conventions, despite all odds and despite everyone´s disapproval - decides to be with a man that will forever be a small child in the body of an adult. I hope that this story will do the topic justice and not insult anyone. This is a love story but it will move very, very slowly because it really is about love and not about hormones.
It belongs to the "Hurt and Comfort" story arc but can be read apart from it. The other stories feature other people´s POV on what happened and how they coped.Series
