“What do you want, Karin?” Even the way he says her name is filled with scorn, a near-tangible exasperation that makes her cheeks heat and fists clench.
"Nothing,” she snaps back with equal vitriol. “I was bored and…” she trails off for a moment, trying to remember why she came here. “I’m just saying, I could… help.”
