Summary
Ganyu freezes.
A lean, feline face pronounced by the faint crookedness of a once-broken nose stares down at her, unimpressed. Lady Keqing of the Liyue Qixing — aristocrat, blasphemer, Ganyu’s boss — stands before their table, dressed in plain waitress’s garb with a pencil stub tucked behind her ear. There's a marked deficit of purple-haired individuals in Liyue. It couldn't be anyone else. Even without her usual outfit and accompanying accessories —Archons, she’s not even wearing her gloves — the Yuheng’s face and bearing are unmistakable. And yet, the sight of her in the Third-Round Knockout is so incongruous with what Ganyu has come to expect of her that Ganyu is almost tempted to pinch herself.
For one long, stupid, painfully awkward moment, they stare at one another.
Ganyu’s mouth is agape. She must look like such a fool. Lady Keqing certainly thinks so, judging by the sharp, imperious quirk of her brow.
“Your… Eminence?”
Keqing keeps finding stranger and stranger places to spend her time. Ganyu happens to be an unfortunate bystander.
