Summary
When he was a child, Yunho had tossed tokens into wishing wells and fountains, pleading for divinity to bless him with a future worth beholding.
Instead, they took and they took from him, twisting his reverence into something far uglier. Steadfast devotion turned into disease in his veins and questioning everything he’d ever known felt like bile under his tongue.
How many of the tales he’d been spun were even true? How many of the preachers had been liars before the altar?
In the end, all it took was a young man and a pirate crew for Yunho to realise life wasn’t at all what he’d been taught it should be.
