It’s like he’s slammed, face-first into a brick wall. The lack of motion is involuntary and Shōta knows because he tries to put one foot in front of the other, but instead finds himself moving backwards — like someone has tied a rope to his back and is yanking with all their might. He watches, helpless as his feet graze the pavement, dragging him right back the way he came.
Shōta is hit by a quirk that causes him to be stuck within a certain distance of Hizashi, at all times.

Becoming someone else was simpler than being himself. It was safer to be the loud blonde guy. The class clown. The idiot, who nobody takes seriously. Because if he wasn’t that person, people might see him for what he really was: a villain in the making.
