Summary
"All her growth was the conveying of a corpse of hope."
(From 'The Rainbow', D.H. Lawrence)This is a story about coming into one's own, a meditation on the twilight of girlhood and the violence of crash-landing into womanhood. Follow Hermione as she navigates through the quagmire: Saving the world, getting top grades, falling in love, lust, and a whole lot of trouble, and comes out of it hopefully (at least) partially sane.

Summary
Five years after the war, Hermione Granger has very little time for something like a relationship. She's far too busy trying to run the Bureau for Endangered Creatures efficiently, dealing with budget cuts and ignorant ministry officials and finding a way to somehow restore her parents' memories, who are still in Australia and none the wiser about the existence of their daughter.
When she discovers that the Wizengamot plans to use Draco Malfoy as a scapegoat whilst dealing with elusive Voldemort loyalists, she offers to testify for him. She's not quite sure how it led to her trying on wedding dresses under the watchful eye of Narcissa Malfoy.

Summary
She couldn't help but worry about him.
The man she hated.
Once hated....Had Draco deserved the curse Harry had inflicted upon him in the bathroom yesterday.
Deep down she knew the answer was no.And her heart was screaming at her to go visit Malfoy in the hospital wing. She needed to see for herself that he was ok.
Hermione shook her head as she tried to dispel her thoughts, her eyes following the flickering warm flame coming from the large fireplace in front of her.'You ok Hermione?' Ginny asked suddenly, snapping Hermione out of her trance.
Hermione glanced up at her friend, forcing a quick, small smile.
More memories from last night replayed in her mind….The cold water, Draco's blood covered shirt, the quietest 'Granger' that escaped his lips as they locked eyes in fear replayed in her mind once more.
'I'm fine Gin, just tired.' was all Hermione could say as she stood from her spot in front of the fireplace, knowing full well where she would be headed come later this evening once the entire Gryffindor common room was asleep.

Summary
It isn't often Hermione Granger does stupid things, but making up a boyfriend to avoid pity from her ex and saying she'll bring the made up man to a couple's getaway certainly could be classified as one of her stupider moments. Enter Draco Malfoy, who suggests an arrangement: they pose as a couple long enough for her to keep her pride, and for him to better the Malfoy name by dating a war heroine. What could go wrong?
