Summary
75 years before the original hunger games trilogy, during the dark days, the districts of panem are rebelling against the oppressive capitol. as a spy working for the capitol, belladonna redwood finds herself in trouble when she breaks the law. when belladonna stumbles upon lola rose baird, a traveling covey member, they form an impenetrable sisterhood. with nothing but a typewriter and a guitar, the two girls form a plan to kill the president of panem. as belladonna and lola rose uncover more of panem's secrets, they start to question which side of the revolution they are really on, and if there is a good or bad side at all.
