Summary
In 1977, to protect the next generation of witches and wizards, Hogwarts sends all of its students into protection programs around the world. Students are to live with new families and exist as muggles until it's safe to return home.
James Potter refused to be split from his closest mates, and convinced Sirius, Remus and Peter to all accept transfer to America. In a small rural town in a state called Oregon.
When they show up to their first day of classes, James puts on the show of his life. Faking shock and surprise, as Regulus Black and his two troublemaker friends walk through their same corridors. Because Sirius had no idea - that James also convinced Sirius’ younger brother to come to this sleepy American town.
Hiding their magic, trying to blend in, all while a war wages across the world, will be the hardest challenge of their young lives.

Summary
Albus leans over her shoulder. “Is that-”
“James Potter. Yes.”
“Sitting at the Slytherin table.”
“Indeed.” she agrees, taking a careful sip of her tea.
Albus hums, settling back into his seat.
She continues watching as James reaches over, swiping a slice of half-eaten toast from Regulus’ plate and taking a grossly large bite out of it.
Regulus, true to his nature, swats James over the head and then proceeds to lean closer to the older boy in order to readjust his tie. James lets him, as if this is a practiced thing between them – perhaps it is. And, when Regulus then steals his breakfast back from the boy, James moves to plant a kiss to the poor Slytherin’s cheek.
“How long has that been going on?” Albus suddenly pipes up again, speaking around a mouthful of toast because, whilst he may be the Headmaster, he has no shame.
Minerva scoffs at him, something that goes either unnoticed or ignored by her friend. “How should I know, Albus?”
He shrugs. “You have your ways.”

James stares at his best friend in disbelief, because what?
“Look, if you go on a date with Regulus, I can go out on my Moony date. My parents will realise that their stupid idea of cursing me with only getting to date once Regulus does didn’t work out because look at that, Regulus also dates! They reverse the magic, Regulus can happily go back to refusing to date anyone, I can go back happily dating Remus, and you can happily go back doing whatever you had planned to do this summer. Quidditch, I assume.”
