Summary
After their return from the Shi's stronghold, the Moon Prince and the daughter of Kan Lakan has been summoned by the Emperor.
The Emperor is glad to have seen his brother finally step out of Jinshi the eunuch's shadow and into the light of his role as the Moon Prince.
His Majesty is also relieved to learn that Kan Lakan's daughter has been returned safe and sound.But he has learned of the unnecessary risks his brother took to find Maomao himself, and that does not pleases his Majesty.
Thinking it would appease his brother and could go back on his words later on, Jinshi blurts out that he needed to find Maomao himself because he planned on making her his consort. Put on the spot, thinking that she could get out of it later on, Maomao confirms.
The Emperor give them one week to make it official.
And so, Maomao returns to the inner-court. As the Moon Prince's Consort, this time.
