Summary
Now that he's looking for it, Yuuji can feel it: the words are etched into him, woven into his muscles and carved into his bones. Start by saving me, Itadori. Yuuji promised he would, so now he must.
The burning pain is starting to come back again. It begins in his chest this time, slightly to the right. Yuuji swallows, reaching up to press his hand against it.
So, he thinks dazedly, as the universe begins to take him apart. This is what happens when you break a Binding Vow.

Megumi dies in Shinjuku. Yuuji is thrown back in time to save him. Again, and again, and again.
(Or: Yuuji says “I’ll save you, Fushiguro” and the universe says “bet.”)

Summary
Itadori reaches out and grabs his hand. Easy, casual. His fingers are calloused, wrapping almost entirely around the width of Megumi's palm.
"Don't let go, okay?" Itadori says. He has to lean in to be heard, and Megumi's heart does something weird in his chest. "Don't wanna lose you and Kugisaki in the crowd."
Megumi swallows. Turns his hand so that Itadori has a better grip.
"Alright," he says. "I won't let go."

Summary
It’s predictable really, that Yuji finds himself tossing and turning in his bed during the later hours of the night after the three of them part ways. Even though movie nights with his friends tend to help, restless nights aren’t unfamiliar for him. After Shibuya, he’s practically used to it. Yet he isn’t haunted by Shibuya or Shinjuku or anything of the sort tonight. Instead, Yuji finds himself unable to sleep because of his upcoming birthday.

In which Yuji gets a boyfriend, has a birthday, visits home, learns a bit too much about himself, and is very loved by the people around him.

The screen door closing behind Megumi isn’t enough to muffle out Gojo’s last mused words.
“Movies like that aren’t much to guys like you and me, but everything to people like Yuji, huh?”
Megumi doesn’t even know the other half of the movie. He’s seen enough to know what it’s basically about.

“I already know that,” Megumi mutters, bringing one foot forward and walking.
Itadori and Megumi’s sister might not look anything alike, but they’re both the type to give simple movies like that more than the time of day. Because people like Itadori and Tsumiki are cut from the same cloth—the kind that bunches up in his mouth and makes Megumi feel sick to his stomach and at the same time, looking at them, sticking to their shadows, wanting to hide them away from—
(Desperate.)
Or—Megumi goes looking for Itadori and finds out a bit more about his own thoughts along the way.
