Summary
Liam starts noting Theo’s… thing surrounding his neck a lot more after that night in the truck. Not in a bad way, or even a truly distracting one.
It’s just another one of Theo’s Theo-y quirks that Liam is learning to roll with. He’s got plenty of his own quirks that Theo is probably getting used to on his own end, but Liam doesn’t think he has anything that’s quite the equivalent of Theo’s preoccupation with his throat.

Summary
It’s stupid to do this, Liam knows. Sooner or later, his friends are going to catch on to his flimsy excuses as to why he keeps ducking out of things early, and why he's failing to answer the phone when he’s supposed to be home, and why he’s taken to showering twice as often as he used to.
But, claws and fangs aside, Liam is only human.

Summary
Liam isn’t there to see how the argument starts, but he is there to see how it ends: Corey hissing, “I don’t need your goddamn help!” at Theo and lifting one hand to shove him away, only his hand doesn’t stop when it hits Theo’s chest, but instead continues through it, the whole of it and his forearm up to his elbow suddenly gone oddly, ghostly translucent, like a photo with the transparency cranked up.
He and Theo both freeze, wide-eyed and horrified, and then Theo makes this horrible choking noise, and blood speckles his lips.

Summary
Theo doesn’t know what B-movie, monster-of-the-week bullshit the McCall pack has gotten itself entangled with, but he does know that he’s looking forward to lording over them the fact that he’s undoubtedly going to have to go help rescue whichever of the starry-eyed morons gets themselves captured or nearly killed—or both—this time. He’s already smirking to himself just thinking about it, methodically carving through another handful of the strange indistinct black things that had detached themselves from the late-afternoon shadows in his borrowed apartment, and attacked him.
Only—that isn’t how it’s going to go, he’s slowly realizing, because two of the creatures that he’d already scythed through merely reform without so much as a flinch as he watches, and throw themselves back at him.

Summary
“Liam you dumb fuck, calm down,” he snarls.
“Fuck you!” Liam snarls back and the anger in Theo’s chest boils up, has him shoving Liam against the truck and shoving his thigh between his legs, hand shifting from his hair to the nape of his neck, claws prickling at his skin and sending tiny trails of blood down his pale skin. Liam struggles against the hold and the coppery scent of blood fills the air between them, their joined growls rising as Theo uses his leverage to push his thigh up at the same time he digs his claws in and shakes Liam like a pup being scruffed.
“Quit it!” he orders, and though he’s not an alpha anymore, Liam obeys, his struggles lessening, but the low growl in his throat doesn’t, nor does the fury in his eyes fade and Theo huffs out an annoyed breath and shakes him again. “Little wolf, quit, or I’m going to knock you the fuck out,” he threatens and shoves his thigh up again, and in that movement he realizes that Liam is hard, and Liam must realize it too because he starts struggling again, embarrassment and shame filling his scent and Theo inhales deeply before laughing darkly and pressing up against him.
