Summary
Between departure gates, on Sky, the Beeb and phone after phone, Hubei seizes up and Australia combusts. The globe runs your fever. Talk sizzles around you, in sparse spurts. Half a dozen businesspeople tut from humid faces, in a café, at a front-page photograph of two crooked, bandaged wallabies. One grooming the other. You’ll breathe through your teeth. Nearly choke on the cold.
You wanted to know.

Summary
It's been a year since Kenny's death, and Carolyn has (not) coped well. Eve drops by, having kept her distance since what happened at Paul's, and tensions begin to rise as the two women wrestle towards an honest conversation.

Bookmarker's Notes
Nonstop facing things in Carolyn's impressive modernist house, but it's bold observations you keep walking into for walls and those planes stretch across decades. Appropriately painful and bracing, but not without flow. Some admirably drawn Eve beats as well.
