Summary
Enjoying summer was the best. Waking up at noon, eating watermelon, spacing out in front of the fan, hanging out with friends in the evening, cycling your way to the convenience store. Not anymore.
You and your family had moved from your hometown, and your childhood house to accommodate your parents' new jobs. You sigh. Everything felt unfamiliar now. The sky looked the same, but even that felt off—like it didn’t belong to you. Your friends back home texted less and less, and the loneliness started to settle like dust in the corners of your new room.
So when your mom signed you up for a local summer camp—“to help you adjust,” she said—you weren’t exactly thrilled. The flyer promised nature walks, crafts, and group games. "Fun" you said to yourself. You’d planned on spending the rest of your summer indoors, wallowing in mild self-pity and watching dramas until your eyes hurt.
