Of course, Ash has come a long way since then.
"Makeup," Ash says, snapping his fingers. "Get me Shorter here ASAP."
He's come a long, long way, in some regards.
Dino steps out onto the set, cold eyes already focused on Ash, and Ash's blood turns to ice.
Other things haven't changed much. Not really.
Dino puts a hand on Ash's shoulder, and Ash stares at the same cracks in the floor that he memorized years ago.
Yeah. Some things haven't changed at all.
Ash is a model at an agency owned by Dino Golzine, and he's accepted his role as the star—including everything that comes with. But when Eiji comes on as a contract photographer, suddenly Ash isn't quite as afraid to be in front of the camera. Of course, caring about Eiji also means he has more to lose.

Eiji told Ash "When you're ready or not at all." And he meant it.
That doesn't mean waiting is easy.
How do you know if you're really ready? How do you know if your partner is? How do you quell your worries when the first time was such an unmitigated disaster?
Told from Eiji's point of view, this takes place six or so months later. When Ash is finally ready to try again. Sex on his own terms.
In other words, this is 9,000 + words of self-indulgent fluff (With a bit of angst and a bit of spice to keep it interesting) to counteract the pain of the last fic.
