Erwin Smith. The name, and the man himself, echo in Levi’s head, linger on his tongue, and leave imprints behind his eyelids. He can’t stop it. As time passes, he realizes that maybe he doesn’t want to; there’s more to the stone-cold leader than meets the eye. As their mutual bond strengthens, people speculate, but Levi never cares to explain their relationship; no one will understand anyway. It’s something profound between just the two of them, a relationship as inevitable and intense as an imminent storm. Levi cannot help but appreciate this newfound and raw connection between a Commander and his Captain.

A canon compliant story of Levi and Erwin based off my head canons and manga/anime. For people who think Eruri can only be a toxic ship, here’s proof that’s not true; it can be a complex but loving one. This story begins after the events of ACWNR and ends at the night before the retaking of Wall Maria in Shiganshina (not sure if I’ll write past that because I don’t know if I can write Erwin being dead ngl)
