As if Izuku Midoriya didn’t have enough to worry about, being born quirkless, but he was also a late bloomer on top of it. Bullied for his quirklessness and his scent blindness into adolescence, Deku always assumed he was merely a very late blooming beta, which meant by the time he presented, there would be no room in his classmates packs for him. Even when he gained a quirk, what pack would court an unpresented beta? Certainly not the proud Katsuki, who used every opportunity to make Deku aware of how little he wanted him.
