    “You wanna be bitched, huh?”

    Unable to keep the blush from rising on his face, Megumi pouts and glances away from Sukuna’s gaze. “…Yeah.”

    Sukuna doesn’t look disturbed or disgusted. He looks… thoughtful.

    “You found an alpha yet?” he asks.

    It’s hard for Megumi to resist rolling his eyes. “Obviously not. I don’t exactly have a line of alphas outside my door eager to bitch me. Besides… I don’t just… trust anyone with something like that.”

    Sukuna hums again, fingers drumming against the armrest. His gaze is unreadable and assessing. “Yeah, I figured as much.”

    Megumi crosses his arms, shifting uncomfortably under Sukuna’s scrutiny. “What’s with the interrogation? What does it matter to you?”

    Sukuna doesn’t answer right away. Instead, he leans back, tilting his head as if debating something. Then, he smirks, completely disarming Megumi as he flashes him those sharp canines. Perfect for claiming. “I could do it.”

    Megumi hated being an omega from the day he presented. The discrimination, the clichés, the heats. All his life, people made it hard for him to simply exist.

    That's why, when he turns twenty-one, Megumi decides to hide his scent and live his life as a beta. A normal job, friends that didn't treat him frail because of his secondary gender, and a life of his own, far away from people trying to patronise him. His pay might not be what it could be had he had the education any beta or alpha was allowed to obtain, but it was enough to afford half the rent of a shared apartment while working the sales job he always wanted.

    The catch? His roommate Sukuna, like everyone else, doesn't know of Megumi's rank and Megumi plans on keeping it that way. No matter how charming Sukuna is, no matter if Megumi's instincts scream at him to let the alpha claim him — it couldn't happen under any circumstances.
